Photographer's Note
This is on the way from where I'm building my cabin to my house (6 hours drive), and this valley of Romsdalen is incredible! Here I stopped the car by the road and made a shot with 20 mm. If you center your eyes on the center point you'll find the "Trollwall" up diagonally to the left (in the shade). The whole drop is of 1800 meters, and the steep part is of 1000 meters vertical (straight down). In older days it was believed that it was impossible to climb, until two men called Arne Randers Heen & Ralph Høibakk. They performed the first climb in Norway where someone slept during the climb in 1958. "Trollback" is still the longest climb in Europe with it's 3500 meters of climbing! In 1980 the first basE jump was performed by the fin Jorma Öster. Later hundreds of jumpers attended to jump, but with the number of casualities and risky rescueoperations it was made illegal in 1986.
Back to my topic of "Trolls", these mountains is said to be formed by a number of trolls caught by the rays of the sun. I guess there must've been a battle here, and that straight drop of 1000 meters is made by the fist of a giant Troll, knocking another dead by a huge blow. Who knows... It's just to good to be true (the mountains I mean...)!

Still want to rent it one day, your cabin, especially now that I know that trolls probably will be there too. ;-)
It's of an amazing beauty, the colours are perfect and the light is great. I like the angle and the foreground, wouldn't say that it's so deep! And I would not be suprised if trolls could be found on the right of that that Trollwall.

Great landscape capture... The water reflex gave it a great effect. Great job.

Nice landscape shot Terje and a very good note too. I think your composition is good with regards to the shoreline and where the mountains meet the sky. The rocks in the water are a nice detail as well. Your colors are good and very accurate I think, although I can't help but wonder what this would look like with Velvia instead of Sensia. It does appear a little oversharpened to me and it seems there was a something on the slide when it was scanned, close to the top, pretty close to the middle. Good shot Terje.

The vertical composition is very good, and the thirds rule is effective with the skyline and shoreline distinct. Great colours and the exposure is spot on. There is a small but noticeable speck in the sky, (dust on the slide perhaps) but no big deal. Well done

Great shot. The scenery is amazing. The sky is a beautiful blue. I really like the way the texture of the clouds is echoed in the rugged side of the wall rock and also in the fine ripples of the water. It's very impressive. Really portrays a feeling of a formidable force. Nice job.

Gorgeous scenery nicely captured with the rocks in the foreground leading the eye toward the dramatic wall of mountains. The cloud formation is distinctive as well, almost a straight line drawn at the lower edge. Aren't you glad you had your camera with you? I'm not certain the heavy black frame is necessary for this composition. I would probably use only the thin white line, but that is surely a matter of personal preference more than anything else. Well done.

wow this is very beautiful landscape shot!
I really wanna try taking some of the mountains which got snow on it... Very nice framing and a blue sky. Did you use a CPL filter? Wonderful composition.

Incredibly sharp, beatiful landscape. The composition is well balanced proportions between the water, the mountains and the sky. The note is well documented and interesting. Now, when are you inviting TE members for a weekend in your cabin?

Great shots...being from Norway I love the mountains too and I love pictures like these. If you come to the Stavanger area be sure to go into Lysefjord and take some nice pictures there as well. Nice informative note
