Illuminated ruin church, a photo from Rogaland, South

Photographer's Note

Sola Ruinchurch, I've taken a similar photo of this building before, only this is a nighttime shot.

I was out driving just after midnight when it struck me that it might be a good time to get a photo of the ruin church.
For those of you who don't understand why I call it the ruinchurch check my other
photo

The big lanterns at this place have a very orange light, therefor the almost ghost-ish feeling to it.
I mounted my camera and tripod on the old stone wall around the building.
I experimented a little with the shutterspeed, but any longer exposure than this only burned the image.
The time of the photo was 00:23 at night.

You really like this church don't you? I would like to go to halden and take Fredrikstens photo on an evening like this:) Good sharpness and nice conditions.. Like the POV and the composition looks good.

Nice image of the ruin church at Sola, I like the deatil you've captured due to the lighting of the building. It looks a bit surreal in this setting. Very nice work. TFS.

Very nice photo.

During our trip to Norway I didn't think that old norwegian churches could be so attractive to me as a beginning photographer. We only focus on the landscapes, and it was our big mistake.

We look forward to see another pictures...

Hello,

Excellente luminosité ! Tu as su conservé l'éclairage d'origine sans flashé la façade. Cela donne une lumière chaude sur les pierres.
Par contre je trouve l'église trop centrée. Il aurait été plus judicieux de prendre du recul et de décentrer le batiment.

lovely composition. I remember passing comment on this church in your daytime photograph. I like this shot, you've managed the light very well and the sharpness is good. Great contrast with the dark blue of the sky, well done.

This Church hardly can be in ruins! Those colors are sooo vivid! Wow! Odd, you have a postcard here.

The picture works great as is, but I wish to see the Church a little more off-centre... but this simply a minor issue...
