Photographer's Note

Troms | Sørkjosen | Lyngenfjord

I had to dedicate this photo to our friend Mariusz. It is not the “Blue Hour” he likes so much but... It is VERY BLUE, isn’t it? ;)
Still driving west on the E6 in the direction of Tromsø, on the shore of the Lyngenfjord, view on the Lyngsalpene mountain range.

The epicentre is the 90 kilometre long Arctic mountain range of the Lyngsalpene mountain range. Some of the tallest of the steep mountains run all the way down to the shoreline of the Lyngenfjord. Jiekkevarre is the highest point at an altitude of 1,833 metres. Nicely spread out in the mountains, you will find giant glaciers, lush valleys and narrow fjord arms.
