Red, white and blue, a photo from Hordaland, South

Photographer's Note

This is a picture captured from the ferry leaving the island after a visit to the island of Fedje april this year. When I was thinking of title for the picture, it struck me that the dominant colors here were actually the same colors of the Norwegian flag: red, white and blue, and the flag it self is present in the picture, so the title had to be: red, white and blue.

these kind of landscapes make me crazy! I really like the great calm that inspire, but in this case I also like the magnificent colors of the houses.

it´s like a best postcard from your beautiful country.The view I immediately associated with Norway.These charming,little red houses,so typically in Norway bring superb color contrast to the composition.You composed this picture really nice with the view over this little bay.So picturesque and tranquil.You´re really lucky to live in such beautiful country.My dream would be to visit Lofoten one day.I hope I´ll make it someday.

In a way I'm always attracted to landscapes with red/white/blue in it.

I sware you took this photo in Newfoundland on canada's east coast where i grew up! its SO Newfoundland!!!
the only thing giving it away is the flag.
love the overall atmosphere, the ruggedness of the rocks and the boats.

Hello Erling,
You set this shot up nicely using the water in the foreground as a lead in for the scene. The photo is divided nicely into thirds with the colorful buildings adding nice points of interest. The off center placement of the buildings lead the eye through the shot nicely.
