Photographer's Note

A quick visit back to the "remote farms" theme...

And can it be more remote than this? Nowadays it is rare to see a residential unit with a turf roof still in use, in fact I can't remember I have seen this more than twice during the last years, including this one.

This place looks pretty much like it has done since the 1800s, maybe with exception for the red barn that seems to be the most modern building on the premises. The place could well be an open air museum, but I have checked and it is not, it is a fully operational farm.

The workshop image shows the place from a different angle. As you can see the farm is located in the middle of the forest, and far from the nearest neighbours...

If you seek solitude and a peaceful life I guess this is a great place to live, but I can't help wondering what it is like during the harsh winter days..!

...and Beverley has insisted on some sheep, they are included in the second workshop!
