Photographer's Note

The city of "Trondheim" is situated in the region of "Nord-Trondelag". It used to be called "Nidaros" after the river "Nidelva".
It's the 3rd most important city of the country after Oslo and Bergen, with around 182 000 inhabitants.
It was the capital of Norway from the time of its foundation in 997 until 1217. Actually, the Nidaros cathedral is still the coronation or rather nowadays, consecration place of the sovereigns.
The son of Eric the Red, LEIF ERICSON, perhaps the 1st European to discover North-America around the year 1000, had served king Olaf in Trondheim, shortly before his discovery of the New World.
Trondheim also boasts an important "University of Science and Technology", the Rockheim Museum ...
