Photographer's Note

There is a funny story to this picture. It is taken at the western-most point of Norway on a very windy day. The clouds were blowing across the sky very quickly and the light was changing almost every second. Even so, the quality of the light was not very good, it was the constant and rapid change that made the scene so dramatic. I knew that no matter how many pictures I took, I could never capture that "drama" on film. In sheer desperation I went back to my car and fetched my sunglasses and held them in front of the lens as I took the picture. So maybe that is cheating. Or maybe not! This is not what I saw that day, but every time I see this picture I'm reminded of that magic moment.
