Photographer's Note
This picture was taken right before christmas 2009. It was about to become dark, and I really liked the sky. I think it looks like it's suppose to snow some more.
I live on the southwest coast of Norway, and we have a quite mild climate here(contrary to what a lot of people think of Norwegian winters), because of the Gulf Stream etc. So if we get snow in the winter, it's usually not a lot, and it only stays for a few days. And we haven't had that many white christmases.
But, in 2009 the snow came around December 19th and stayed until March! And it was the same last year, it came in December, and stayed until about January/February. So I'm wondering if we'll get a white christmas this year as well..

Hello Kathrine,
This is a beautiful picture: very evocative, with the trees in the foreground adding a lot of depth.
Have you considered balancing the white of the snow to remove the "bluish" tone added by the camera? Maybe it would be a bit more realistic, although probably less evocative. I added a slightly "white balanced" version in a workshop :)
Thanks for sharing!!
