Photographer's Note
The view of the vikings...
This photo is of the same ruin church as earlier, only taken at a later date ,that I'm sorry to say, I don't remember.
Photo is of the souther wall of the old church, taken just after workhours one beautiful day in April.
The view is out over the North Sea. It is hard to get a good view of both the church and the sea from this point due to lots of other building. The hill which the church is situated on is some 30-40 meters above sealevel.
In the background of the photo you can see some small islands, I'm not sure what islands these are but I'm guessing they are "Kjørholmane".
The photo should also give an impression of what modifications have been done to the church during the restoration. You can clearly see the glass building stones in the upper right corner and also the new "old" door they have installed.
As mentioned in my other photo the church is still in use. It is particularly popular to have weddings here. So popular infact that the waiting time for having your wedding here is around 1.5 years, so be patient!
I have applied autolevels to the photo through Photoshop, nothing more...

Hei Odd Jarle,
Lovely view of the North Sea!
I like the way you frame by the fine old church wall and the naked trees...
It is a good composition in the muted colours of early spring!

Odd Jarle Jorgensen ,
Impressive view.
Narrow, long view.
Nice tight cropping.
Left side wall is impressive..It makes you to see further. where you can see nice outlines of trees.
& beautiful sky.
Very well balanced image.

Hi Odd Jarle,
This shot is evocative! Surely Norway in April is still very cold (at least for a tropical man like me) but the trees in your pic also seems to be very "winterized".
I like the shadows in this picture, I guess that's the best element on the picture. Can you imagine this same picture without the shadows? It seems like the trees want to go inside the Church!
Excellent seen! This is my favorite among your gallery (to date)!
