Photographer's Note

Another afternoon winter mood from my valley up in the mountains in the south of Norway. A top day with fair weather and lots of new snow even at just some alt. of 1000 m.

The river 'Flyelva' still open which is unusual this time of the year. In the back the mountain Grahoi popular both for summer and winter hikes.

Hi Jack, amazing winter view with the river and the big mount on the back.
good idea the tree on the right side to give a bit of colours to the white/blue image.

A superb winter scene with excellent re[etition of the snowclad boulders in the fg stream. I like the minimalist colour tones of blue & white. Tfs!

Lovely winter landskape, it seems that winter finally came... Even here in Stavanger we've had some snow (Not as much as you, but still winter...) I like your view, very scenic and nicely captured. TFS.

Hi, Jack. the tree in the foreground creates a good depth in your picture and the river is a good lead into the image. I also like the contrast between the dark trees and the snowy mountain slopes. Very good light.

With snow arriving across Europe now, this is a very appropriate seasonal shot. The fresh snow adds nice highlights and contrast as well as nice repeating shapes to the stones, and the directional light picks out the details well. It looks very cold out there!

This is a great winter postcard. Its nice to see that you finally have snow to share with us. You have chosen a nice POV showing the moving water in contrast to the calm and still of the snow.

Nice winter impression from the Johanson Valley, Jack - I like the staggered arrangement of snow-capped rocks, and the barren tree at the left is well included to delimit the framing. Well exposed to convey the seasonal mood at its most authentic. Hope you're enjoying the time up in the cottage.

Le charme des photos d'hiver en Norvège n'est plus à prouver, chauqe photo que tu nous montre de là-bas en cette saison ne peut que nous ravir.
Et c'est bien que tu choisisses des paysages bien différents.
Ce coin est vraiment magnifique.
