Sunny afternoon in Bergen, a photo from Hordaland, South

It has been a while since my last post from Norway here on TE. In fact it has been more than a year since my previous Norway-photo. I thought it was about time now. This is a fresh photo, taken Sunday. It was a cold and windy day, so when the sun showed up, it was very welcome. This row of wooden buildings are located in the hillside above Bryggen, and has a great view over the city centre. Many people pass through this area on their walk towards mount Fløyen, and Sunday can be very crowded with lots of people going for a hike.

This district is very picturesque . I like especially here the winter light providing interesting contrasts.

I guess winter sun are precious moments in the most rainy city of bergen.
You managed fully to take this golden moment of glow upon the hill-side hpouses. beautiful outcome, enliven with the couple walk up the road.

Jag ser på Google att det är en väldigt fin utsikt åt vänster. Den får vi inte se, men det fantastiska varma ljuset i den här bilden är fint nog. Personerna i rött och blått lyser i det relativa mörkret på gatan, medan byggnaderna är fyllda med fina detaljer som de små trapporna, balkongerna och tegeltaken. De starka kontrasterna gör att alla dessa detaljer fångar min blick.

Hej Erling,
Det er også snart for et år siden jeg sidst uploadede et billede fra Holland. Men ofte er der jo også mange gode billede at finde lige rundt om hjørnet. Disse huse er meget smukke med masser af fine detaljer og det varme sollys er virkelig dejligt. De to mennesker viser dog at det var en kold dag.

very similar to your other new shot, and Ya I like this one as well. Looking way into the bg, I don't recognise the industrial building. excellent pov of the city, and i'm guessing its not the typical postcard view we usually see, which is good just to shake things up a bit. But I love the postcards too :) lovely warm tones, light, depth, city views on the hills, its got a bit of everything. well seen and captured. cheers

What a lovely photo of these evening sunlit houses. Their golden colour is very appealing and the contrast with the red roofs is great !
Good composition in diagonal and great view from the top of the hill on the deep blue sea and the hills on the horizon.

Late last year when I was in Bergen it was clear - bright - sunny days. However the mood is quite different here. I like photos of both extremes - blue skies or storms. The dark sky here is great yet the sun shines brightly on the houses. Very good point of view. drt100 David
