Photographer's Note

View from the road Fjellveien in the hillside of Mount Fl°yen. The view shows central parts of the city center. A lot of the houses in the lower part was built up after the great fire in 1916, when 380 buildings burned down.

The road Fjellveien was constructed for strolls in the hillside. The construction started in 1879, and in 1906 4634 meters with road was finished. From the township Sandviken north of the city center to Kalfaret south of the city center, we can still take strolls with a fantastic view over the city and the fjords almost all the way. Only in the southern part limited use of cars is allowed.

Thanks for viewing.
