Photographer's Note
View from the road Fjellveien in the hillside of Mount Fløyen. The view shows central parts of the city center. A lot of the houses in the lower part was built up after the great fire in 1916, when 380 buildings burned down.
The road Fjellveien was constructed for strolls in the hillside. The construction started in 1879, and in 1906 4634 meters with road was finished. From the township Sandviken north of the city center to Kalfaret south of the city center, we can still take strolls with a fantastic view over the city and the fjords almost all the way. Only in the southern part limited use of cars is allowed.
Thanks for viewing.

Hello Erling,
A very beautiful natural framing with green and yellow leaves for the view on Bergen with its many buildings with facades in soft colours.
Very good to have included a part of the sea also.
And it was a sunny day in Bergen !
(I remember once a Norwegian told me jokes about the many rainy days in your town).
Best regards, Paul

Hello Erling, This is an extremely colorful view of this city. I would assume that most of the buildings in the foreground are apartments, and I am surprised at the variance in color. Very well done. I like your technique of framing this shot with the vegetation and trees. Your f stop insured that virtually everything in the foreground would be in focus. Good Job. Regards, Roger

Another beautiful sight of Bergen from a priviledged POV. I remember this road because we went up Mount Fløyen with the cabway and went down by foot. I like how you framed the city with the tree branches. If I don't remember wrong the first buildings at center right are on the street which leads to the harbour while the other one in diagonal at left should be Olav Kyrres Gate?
Strong but fine light here, with a lovely summer atmosphere.

Hi, Erling!
Very nice view of your picturesque city. Spring green foliage contrasts well with the red-white tones of houses. A piece of the bay adds charm to this shot.
Greetings from rainy Petersburg.

Hello Erling,
This nice portrait of the city is very well captured and framed. The green branches in the foreground highlight the beauty of the city's architecture and wonderful hills in the background. Excellent presentation!

Hello Erling!
I only miss a bit more of sharpness and dof, however the pov, the composition, the exposure, the horizontal & rectangular format are all very good features here to present such a beautiful city to all of us here at TE! A place I'd love to visit one day in my life!
TFS - congratulations!
My warmest regards,
Neyvan

Hi Erling
Bergen sure seems like a great place to visit. I kick myself for now visiting this city when i was in Norway a few years back!! I only went to Oslo...sigh
looking down below, i see so many colourful buildings, it reminds me alot of Copenhagen. like a rainbow of buildings.
great view from here. any more like this??
cheers
