Photographer's Note

View of a small town in the Lofoten archipelago, Norway.

This photo was taken in late winter / early spring. Despite being located at around 68 north, the weather in Lofoten is fairly warm due to air currents coming from the sea.

The whole archipelago is connected by a wonderful road that leads from Narvik to the small town of in the southernmost tip of the archipelago. Definitely one of the most wonderful places I've been to.

Lofoten is as well an ideal destination for climbing, both in summer, where many rock climbing routes are established on faces like the one depicted here and the potential for new routes is still overwhelming, and in winter, when the fact that amazing alpine-like walls with mixed and ice climbing provide technical routes on easily accessible terrain.
