Photographer's Note

I have been so lucky!
I got all the way up front at the Tracy Chapman-concert during the North Sea Jazz Festival (let's just not talk about that one photographer in front of me) and took a lot of pictures. As said before, some were great but most weren't. This is one of the great ones.
If you look closely you might be able to see the Jazz-part of the North Sea Jazz-logo on the upper left corner (it should be there!). Cropped the drumset from the right and a sound/light-thing from the bottom. No colour-adjustments.

In this picture Tracy sang "Behind the wall". When she started to sing, the audience sang along. Just after the first verse she choked because she had a cold and she had to cough. Then she started to sing the song all over and the whole place was ab-so-lu-te-ly quiet!
I this this picture represents very well how peacefull and quiet the atmosphere was.

Darkness... Quietness...
Tracy starts to sing. Goosebumps on my arms, tears in my eyes, and still a good shot. I just HAD TO share this one, as a first picture in my North Sea Jazz 2006-series.
