Photographer's Note

Blaricum, the village of my youth.
30 km SE from Amsterdam. A 100 years ago a little village of poor farmers in a very nice natural environment with heather fields. Then came the artisans, to paint, to draw, to sculpture, to write.
The character of Blaricum didn't really change. Then came the rich people. They bought most of the farms.
Because of their need for privacy, they often let the hedges grow high. Blaricum isn't not longer the village is was. Here you see an exception. I like this kind of architecture very much and I like the possibility of admiring it. Hope you do too.
