Photographer's Note
e' natale - una festa che di solito si passa in famiglia, che lo si voglia o no. se tutto va bene, e' un momento di allegria, relax, divertimento - in caso contrario hanno la meglio lo stress, le ipocrisie, le incomprensioni, etc.etc.
e poi c'e' il momento dei regali - regali sentiti, regali dovuti, regali utili e regali inutili...
il regalo piu' bello per me e' e sara' sempre questo - lo sguardo della persona che ti ama, perso nel tuo.

and then it's presents time: presents given with the heart, last minute presents devoid of every personal touch, useful presents, useless presents...
to me, the best present is and will always be this - the look in the eyes of that person who loves you more than anything, lost in yours.

This is a great composition, a beautiful snapshot, with a marvellously captured look of that man's eyes. It's also an almost unbelievable coincidence of matching colours.

Ciao Cristina,hai scritto delle parole fantastiche,il probleme e' che il bimbo guarda la bimba del tavolo accanto,il ragazzo sta guardando quell'altra gnocca che sta passando vicino al banco dei polli arrosto e chissa' cosa sta pensand,e lei che continua a parlare senza che nessuno la ascolti....una foto bellissima come qualita',taglio e composizione...bella anche perche' come vedi ognuno la puo' interpretare come vuole.Buone feste di nuovo! Grande Cristina! Hai fermato in modo eccellente il sorriso perso di lui e il suo sguardo innamoratissimo... Ma poi? Questa storia resta in sospeso, come la forchetta che lui ha appoggiato al suo bicchiere...e dove sta il bon ton? E c'é quel bambino dai capelli rossi, che non é certo figlio dell'innamorato e difatti guarda altrove e ha una faccetta infelice...
Qui manca il seguito, Cristina. Tu che eri lì, racconta! Che cosa hanno fatto dopo?

Perfect timing, yet another couple shot, Cristina, but with a difference: wonderful expression on the man's face and the kid is a great plus in the scene. You write 'lost', but at the same time this looks like people who have very much 'found their place'...and that makes it such a warm picture. Excellent.
It looks like the cafetaria of a museum, I imagine them on a day out. Quality time stuff, you know.
