Photographer's Note

The Hofvijver is a pond in the centre of The Hague. In 1248 William II (a Count of Holland and Zeeland and a German anti-king 1247-1254) built his palace alongside the pond.
Today it is adjacent to the Dutch parliament and from the other side to the Museum de Gevangenpoort (Museum the Prison Gate).
