Photographer's Note
Sorry about the location (Rotterdam), but we have to wright something. However, it was on the beach in Netherland, near to the belgian border. I really can't tell you where it exactly was - I think at this one doesn't matter so much

Love the title! Think it gives everything you want to say with this picture

Well captured cultural difference, Janos! Even though we like not to think so there is a difference in public behaviour that might have a connection to hair color. And your picture shows somehow that a compromise between grown up dark haired and young blonde behaviour would be fine. I think BTW that some more sharpness and contrast would be fine.

Exellent! You illustrate your thought on the scene very well... I like the fact that there are almost no details (especially not faces) on any of the groups. The general identity of the persons highlights the idea.
Well seen!

Very well seen, very interesting combination of what seems to be very different worlds!

Excellent Photo, janos. The culture differece is well presented here. A very good composition: a "above the shoulder" angle, DOF, 3 vs 3. Very very well seen and captured.

To me there is always something intriguing about seeing people who are looking at things. It adds interest to the whole scene.

Very neat. I like your title very much.
1 word to describe it all.
1 word to explain it.
1 word to sum it all and into the light to bring it.
Great capture of the differences that exist in the world we live in.

What a great shot - wonderfully framed with the ladies on the foreground and the distance and the two swimmers - tells a lovely story.

Nice idea, great title. I'd like it more if taken a bit to the right, showing the (presumably) fair hair of themiddle sunbather.

Great contrast between those Dutch (??? - maybe German? Belgians or wathever) people and those people with another background.

I believed that nudity was prohibited on Trekearth? Me I have a photo withdrawn for less than that?? The mysteries trekearth.

Great shot and witty title. This picture tells the cultural difference and the physical difference between two worlds.

Hi Janos, looking at your gallery I have tried to find one image that could be the resume of your work, I find that this is one of this, from the title to the image we really can see two different worlds and approaches to the life, so, compliments, this is amazing, sad and beautiful at the same time, thanks of it.
Ciao

Wow, Janos!
I came across this picture when it was featured on the main page. It's such a great capture of the stunning contrasts in our world. Your title couldn't have been any better. Someone was wondering how come Adam didn't throw it out... I personally believe that this is perfectly suited for the TE. It is the quintessence of TE's mission: capturing and revealing the world we live in.
I don't really care whether the shot captured or not the truth at the scene (i.e. it's possible the dressed ladies had been or were going to be sunbathing topless/nude) but you captured the contrast between conservatism and liberalism, between tradition and progress, and could easily symbolize even the moral, political and military struggle in our world highlighted in this post 911 era. Well, that's how I guess your title might sound in more than a single word.
Thank you,
Iulian
