Photographer's Note
We end this little series where we began, in the Saturday farmer's market on the Rotterdam Noordplein. The slogan on the fruit stall, is more or less the same as we say, 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. If only it was that easy....
Stay safe....

Hi Elaine
Nice to see something a little different in the street during this pandemic and it's the sinister look of that woman adds so much value to the composition. This candid has a raw feel to it nice work and stay safe always....

Hello Elaine,
The slogan on the canvas sends a hopeful message which is tragically contradicted by the face masks everywhere. But it is still a good focal point, as are the persons in the foreground. And apart from everything else it's a nice scene from daily life.

Gert

Hello,
Fine black and white scene from that nice city. I like those street markets, you can find all kind of goodies. Well seen.

Hello Elaine,
Goed foto werk, bedankt.
Groeten uit Vlaanderen,
John.

Hello Elaine, an excellent observation of daily life, even in these strange times. No-one seems to be taking any notice of you, which adds to the impression of this scene.
If only 'an apple a day' really did keep the doctor away!
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Elaine,
You have negated my need for a translator, I thought that is what it said! Yes, apples would be in great demand were this proven to be true!
It's a fine journalistic shot, showing the need for masks, just foe every day activities. We were used to seeing these in China but now ...!
It's another fine, sharp photograph, with the main focal figures placed on a diagonal across the frame.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Indeed, if only we could eat apples and stop the pandemic that way! Obviously the people in the photo don't think so as they decided to also use masks and shields. :-)
Great b&w work, I really like your crop and timing.
Thank you for your kind words about my last upload. I was in Afghanistan as a tourist, some parts are free from war and not that difficult to visit.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hello Elaine,
How I missed this series? Every piece of it is a real gem. Maybe it features a style that I also like. :) Anyhow, I like the human interaction on this photo and the tiny details to be observed.
Stay safe and all the best wishes to you!
Gy.

Hello Elaine
Well done on the choice of B/W. Lots of drama to study in this market. Apples, masks, bicycles, and many shopping bags. Looks like a good a day at the market.

Hello Elaine,
Another excellent street composition in black and white. I am afraid that one apple a day will not help for the coronavirus.
