Aardenburg

The Holy Mary Ascension Church is a Roman Catholic church in the Zeeland-Flemish city of Aardenburg.
The church was built in 1850-1851 according to a design by P.J. Soffers in early neo-Gothic style. The ship and the built-in tower still remain of the original church. The original choir was demolished in 1924 and replaced by a new centralized East Party according to a design by J.H.H. van Groenendael, consisting of a transept, a choir and an eight-sided celebration dome.

The distance between the field and the church is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the hi=ouse and of the church. The sharpnes is very good. Have a nice day.

A lovely countryside view of the church behind the trees, just by the field. The large tree catches my attention just as much as the church. It's a fine combination of elegant architecture and nature and the colours and light are outstanding.

Hallo John,
Mooi hoe bomen, huizen en kerk oprijzen daar waar de akker ophoudt.
De achtzijdige koepel van de kerk is speciaal en valt van ver op.
Je brengt ons al een prachtige lentefoto waarop de natuur reeds in een stadium zit waarvan we nu nog maar kunnen dromen.

Hallo John,
Wat een mooi landschap in een schitterend voorjaarslicht. Het stadje met de kerktorens en de verschillende huizen tussen de bomen ziet er heel aantrekkelijk uit. De compositie is erg goed, vooral dankzij de aanwezigheid van de hoge boom links van het midden.

Hello John,

The flatness of the countryside is emphasised by the perfectly horizontal lines created by the ploughed field.
The buildings make their own attractive layer, seemingly natural as they are nicely interspersed with trees.
A lovely light and natural colours add to the pleasing nature of the photograph.
