Pink Evening, a photo from Zeeland, South

Photographer's Note

Walking through the polders of * Zeeland, always good for a "lovely shot".

And it is nothing more than that... I'm afraid ;o) and I would have liked more land on this one, but I decided to post it because Georges likes the "Big Skies" of the nothern European countries.

* The province of Zeeland, is situated in the south west of The Netherlands, limited by

Belgium in the south

The North Sea in the west

The province of Brabant in the east and

The province of South-Holland in the north.

The province is divided in Flanders, formed by former islands in the Scheldt estuary. The main islands are Walcheren, North Beveland, South Beveland, Tholen most east, and * Schouwen-Duivenland where we live.

* The Island called Schouwen-Duiveland, in Zeeland isn't quite an island anymore as it is connected to others with:

TheBrouwersdam in the North

The Grevelingendam in the East

The 5km long Zeelandbridge in the South and

The Oosterscheldedam, (Eastern Scheldt storm-surge barrier) in the West.

All those dams and bridges are part of the Delta Works.

Encore une image qui porte bien votre signature.
Le ciel chargé qui prend une belle partie de l'image, une terre basse l'horizon marqué d'arbre discret j'aime bien.
J'ai fait un petit atelier car la ligne d'horizon penche très légèrement sur la gauche.
(Il faut bien trouver quelque chose pour faire d'une critique une critique ;-))

La route monte en légère pente jusqu'à peu près au milieu de l'image, ensuite c'est bien horizontal.
A mon avis la photo n'est pas penchée. Tout de même ! Il n'est pas si plat que ça ce pays !
Le paysage du nord du Loiret, région où j'habite ressemble à celui-ci, mais Viviane a plus d'inspiration que moi dans l'art d'accommoder les "plats", tandis que moi, je suis attiré par les reliefs.

Pas toujours évident de prendre en photo un ciel qui captive toute notre attention et de transmettre l'émotion ressentie. Ici c'est chose faite. L'exposition est juste et "la ligne de base" donne toute la dimension et l'échelle du lieu. Très jolie tonalité rosée. Très bien composé. Bravo Viviane, et bonne année.

Lovely soft pastel colors, Viviane. It is always a pleasure to look at such color, very peaceful mood.

Interesting pic where the landline surely is modest to the great open sky. But I am not sure Viviane, maybe the photo had been even better displaying a little more of the land?

Lovely soft colouring in this large expanse of sky. It is the sort of sky that I enjoying looking at while a passenger in a car, I like to see the "lakes", "beaches" and "islands" in my imagination. A little bit more land would, I think, have been nice.

Une superbe image Vivianne. J'aime les couleurs pastelles qui se retrouvent en si grand nombre dans le ciel. Je suis du même avis que certain autres, j'apprécie les images qui sortent de la norme du 1/3. Belle réalisation.

I'm just a bit colorblind, but even I can tell that this is pink! Nice capture! I like your radical placement of the horizon.
