Photographer's Note

Originally built in 1911 by architect Stuivenga, the Zeist Post Office was designed in Dutch Neo-Baroque style, similar to the near Town Hall. It was extended and internally updated a number of times. With the decline of the post market the Postal Offices organization is extending into other markets and services, so in 2008 a new, smaller self service mail shop was opened in an adjacent building. After a full renovation, the former Post Office now houses a restaurant and Grand Café. (taken with a 10.5 fisheye from the opposite side of a narrow street, then corrected with Nikon Capture, hence the odd perspective in the tower)
