Photographer's Note

Earlier I posted some photo's of Utrecht University Library. This time, another shot from that same building.

There are more then 4,2 million books, organised on bookshleves over 90 km in length. The library counts 27.000 m2 total of which: 12.000 m2 to read/study/sitd down etc. and about 10.000 m2 storage. There are six different large studyrooms where over 500 students can study at a time.

To take this shot i put my camera in/on an empty bookshelf (empty bookslhelves are very rare in this library) so I could show both this aisle and the numerous rows of books. I tried to create as much dimension as possible and I think this POV worked very well with that.
