A calm winter's afternoon, a photo from Noord-Holland, South

Photographer's Note

Taken along the Ringvaart in the small village of Vijfhuizen (five houses) near Haarlem. I was on my way to a meeting and decided to take a small detour over the smaller roads instead of the main road. Light was favourable so why not.

This photo I took a few minutes later looking the other way along the Ringvaart: Vijfhuizermolen.

Mooi Harko, heel erg mooi. Prachtig opgezet in een mooie egale kleursetting De kleine lichtjes die branden, fietser op de brug, eendjes in het water, schitterende reflectie...het past allemaal precies.
Mooie foto, prima stukje werk.

A stunning golden light showing aintresting construction. But the grass in the foreground disrurbing the whole , pity!
but alltogether a good one!

Hello Harko.
Just found this very nice landscape, with its warm sepia (not quite!) look. I like that Dutch drawbridge, and I see that swan swimming towards the camera. The scene and the colours present a very mellow mood. Pity there is so much grass in the foreground. But the main subjects are very sharp. Nice shot.

Hola Harko, bellísimos tonos la foto luce muy nítida, adicionalmente es un buen acierto haber compuesto la imagen con esas plantas haciendo un encuadre natural, la foto con varios planos, le dan una excelente profundidad a la imagen...

Dag Harko,

Af en toe ontdek je op TE zo'n gallery waarvan je denkt: hoe is het mogelijk dat ik die nog niet gezien heb!? Die van jou is er zo eentje.

Dit Hollands plaatje vind ik meesterlijk. Heerlijk 'moody' kleuren en een doordachte, originele compositie. Dit werkt!

En nu naar die Filippijnse foto's van je...
