Photographer's Note

Not a title for a new song...

Unfortunately, the quality of the picture is
deteriorated after the reduction of the file
(example: the railing is on photopaper good).

This time no landscape picture, but a simple

Picture is taken from the "Spaarne" in Haarlem.
The boat is minesweeper, for years out of
service. More mirror wasn't possible: I cann't
fly. The light on the side of the boat came
from passing cars.
I used the ropes on the forground, to create

About Haarlem:
(for the tourists who want to visit the

It is the capital of the province Noord Holland
(Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands).
It looks a little like Amsterdam, but it's 5
times smaller.

In the past you had hundreds of breweries,
because that was healthier than drinking water.

Haarlem hasn't big shops what you perhaps will
see in Amsterdam, but they has the most
different types of stores in the Netherlands.

You have many restaurants. You have also a lots
of bars (okay, Amsterdam has more).

Also nice to know: the first airplane of the
Netherlands "de Spin" (the Spider) flew over
Haarlem (1911).

In the Summer you have a Jazz-week.

Also nice is to visit Bloemendaal and Zandvoort.
You can do that by bike. Also nice is to visit
the dunes between Bloemendaal and IJmuiden.
Perhaps you will see Foxes, Dears, Rabbits, Wild
Horses (they are small) and Scottish Highlanders
(Highland Cow). In Bloemendaal (btw the richest
municipality in Netherlands) you have also a
Jazz week in the Summer.

When you will visit Amsterdam, you can do that
the best by train (20 minutes).

Mug (mosquito) is the sobriquet for the people
from Haarlem. (viskop - fish head- for the
people from IJmuiden and kaaskop - chees head -
for the Dutch).

Guess where the name Harlem (New York) comes

For clarity: I'm not from Haarlem, but I will
show the people that there is more than only
