Photographer's Note
Today ended an exhibition at Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam :
"Dutch and Spanish Masters", showing paintings of Velázquez, Rembrandt and other painters of this period.
In this picture you see a selfportrait of Rembrandt as apostle Paul, and you can see the reason why I enjoyed the exhibition and the whole museum very much: taking photos is allowed!
in WS another photo that shows how crowded the rooms were, on an ordinary thursday, no sunday, no holiday!

Hi Elvira,
Interesting photogenic scene with these visitors and the attitude very expressive of the man in the painting. For the presentation you can cropped the lady on the left side of the view, tfs.

Hello Elvira,
In Amsterdam, you can see many paintings by Rembrandt without a special exhibition. But probably on this occasion, there were even more of them. Nice scene from the museum. Usually, in museums, the pictures are allowed. Sometimes they forbid the cameras but with the smartphones it is OK.
I like here the light contrasts. Nice scene.

Dear Elvira,
What sold me this picture is priceless expression of the man on the painting, like he was saying: Gosh, no, another one!
Excellently spotted and taken scene, I had to fave it obviously!
Best Wishes,
Gy

Hi Elvira
You have the same approach as I, taking the pictures of paintings is just a generally bad photocopy of the masterpiece, I prefer the interactions with the people.
I just quit TE, happy to see you coming on 500PIX.
Cheers
