Photographer's Note
Here you can see another pic taken in Amsterdam last week. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the canal -- it was only a short walk distance from the central railway station.
Post processing added in Photoshop.

Czesc Gosiu,
Bardzo podoba mi sie kolorystyka zdjecia(o czym juz wspominalem komentujac jedno z twoich ostatnich zdjec),a takze efekt winiety szczegolnie dobrze widoczny w gornej czesci zdjecia.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Ciao Gosia,

Bravissima!
Ciao e buon inizio di settimana.

Hello Gosia,
This is a fine accompaniment to the shot you posted, yesterday. It is only when I see this that I realise how difficult it is to take a shot in Amsterdam without a bicycle in shot!!
The buildings are so characteristic of the area and you have exposed them very well, especially considering the relatively poor light. The canal side and boat make a good separation for thirds, giving your shot a pleasing composition.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hi Gosia
So I see you added IN the dark vignetting again? Adding it in really does make the photo better doesn't it!
I think it has its place, yet sometimes it doesn't look good.
here it seems to match the colors of the buildings.
classic Amsterdam, waterways, bikes, and the architecture.
wonderful
cheers

Witaj,
ladna seria z amsterdamskimi kamienicami. Troche przypominaja mi te gdanskie nad Motlawa. Ciekawa tonacja kolorystyczna. Bdb pionowy kadr.

Ho Gosia,
great photo. I like the narrow buildings and the red boat too. The vintage on the top of the photo was lens made or you add it in postprocessing?
A lovely view.

Hello Gosia,
In Amsterdam it's very difficult to take a canal picture without bikes :)
Not that I want to exclude them.
The red boat is a real eye-catcher with these dark facades and the dark water.
Very beautiful architecture picture.

Hi Gosia
The central viewpoint emphasizes the delicate details of the unique Dutch architecture. This image has subtle light, colors and luminous that benefit much from the clarity. An extremely intriguing shot abound of vivid shapes and patterns and this is just wonderful with the treatments for, it looks classic and timeless. Indeed a very eye pleasing picture. The red boat further adds to the quality of the shot. Very well done shot. TFS

Hello Gosia
Another well composed shot that suits the vertical format and makes great use of the colour red to provide a contrast to the rest of the colours and attract the eye. I love the little highlight on the water in the reflection.

Hello Gosia,
a very attractive moody picture composed with great taste and skill in a vertical frame . I like very much the narrow framing of the three narrow buildings and the combination of the dominat vertical patterns with horizontal layers of interest starting from the dark canal and the reflectione and going up. There's a fine chromatic harmony enhanced by the dim and melancholic light. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Hello Gosia,
You're capturing well this place by a good composition, tasteful tone and excellent clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the unique buildings with many windows standing along the canal. The red boat anchored to the canal adds an additional good charm in this image as well as the reflection projected to the canal. Even so, it tastes and is a deep building.
Kind regards,
mikio

Witam Gosia
I saw most of your album tonight and got amazed at the quality of your pictures, to the point I suspect you of working constantly with the HDR technique for the indoor shots.
The use of a wide lens and a rigorous symmetrical cropping creates the magic to your architectural works.
You are quite talented and differently inspired for great shots!!
Pozdrawiam.
Robert
