Stroopwafels are thin Dutch waffles with a syrup filling.
A stroopwafel is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked batter with a caramel-like syrup filling in the middle...they're delicious!
Large versions are sold in the streets as a snack.
This picture is taken in the market place in Bergen op zoom and the warm stroopwafel is unbeatably delicious!
