Photographer's Note
Every year in mid-december the Charles-Dickens-Festival takes place in Deventer. You can see characters from his novels in the streets, performing life as it may have been about 180 years ago. There are children begging, Ebenezer Scrooge cursing, sheperds with their sheep and donkeys, and even Queen Victoria can be watched having her tea behind a window (see workshop). The streets are nicely decorated with mistletoes and other christmas decorations, the shops are open even on sunday, and lots of touring cars bring loads of people to watch and enjoy.

Hello Elvira,
What a delightful scene, beautifully photographed, with bright, natural colours and a sharp exposure.
The characters are well positioned in the frame, with convincing costumes, even down to their boots.
I love the Dickens stories; he was certainly a man of his time, eager to illustrate the sad conditions of many people and eager to improve them.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Elvira,
Une bien jolie composition. Les chanteurs portent leurs plus beaux atours. Mais mon regard est attiré par la plus grande sur la droite. J'espère qu'elle a une voix de basse.
Amicalement

Hello Elvira, It looks like taken from the kids book or movie.
Pity that we can't hear how they sing.
Best wishes
Malgo
