Photographer's Note

The small Jacobskerk were built in Roderwolde (1831).The old church at Sandebuur near Roderwolde were then demolished. For construction of the pointed turret it was then used of the stones of the medieval church. Of the old church bldg. only still the sand toes font from 1560 are, the church bell from 1634 and the church goblet from 1651 kept remained.

Roderwolde are due to the old connection of Roden to the city Groningen. By the construction of new road between Peize and Groningen at the end of the nineteenth century Roderwolde lost this function.
