Dolce vita, a photo from Malta, South

Photographer's Note

After a few agitated months, one week of madness, a superb marriage, we take to the road on 22th of may, at 6hoo am, in direction of Orly... Arrived towards 9hoo am, the flight is announced at 11h40 am , we are almost the first for the loading... the holidays are close...

"Passport, please... there's a problem, the name on the ticket of Madam is different from that on the passport..." Argh, the travel agency anticipated the renaming... quickly one slips by to Servis' air, and for 5o € (robbers!) a new ticket is obtained... and rather than to embark quietly, we get into the plane at 11h3o am...

Holidays are closer ... problem, cross-wind, we take off with the feeling which we could be join the ground rather than envisaged and not in good conditions...

14h3o... we arrive at Malta, we recover the car and ... all is reversed... why the wheel is on the right and the gear shift lever on the left ! And everyone rolls on the left ... oups i had to roll on the left...
We cross all the island with 3 panels of direction every 9 km (the island makes 27 km length!) ... the hotel finally... enjoy the holidays !

Belle architecture pour un petit coin bien sympa pour le repos mérité après ta semaine de folie ...
J'aime bien aussi ta description qui me rappelle quelques souvenirs à propos de la conduite à gauche ;-) tu as oublié d'ajouter que lorsque l'on veut mettre les clignotants ...si on ne fait pas gaffe au début, ce sont les essuis glaces qui s'actionnent avec ces tableaux de bord inversés, ça a du t'arriver à toi aussi, je suppose ?

Bonsoir Hugues et tout d'abord félicitations pour ce superbe évènement ;o) J'aime bien le cadrage vertical de ta photo avec les deux personnages installés en terrasse. c'est vrai qu'on a envie d'y être. La lumière est bien maitrisée même dans les parties dans l'ombre. Bravo

Hugues bonsoir - j'aime beaucoup la qualité de ta photo et ce subtil jeu d'ombres et de lumières - c'est absolument splendide et on dirait que les gens assis sont éclairés d'une façon un peu iréelle -

Ben mon ami plutot mouvemente ton depart en vacances, au moins ca te fera des souvenirs ;-)
Il a l'air bien sympa ce bistrot, la partie inferieure est a l'ombre mais c'est juste ce qu'il faut pour apprecier l'endroit, et on peut voir de beaux details dans la partie superieure. Bien cadre.

Bravo pour t'en être sorti de cette conduite à gauche; pas évidente n'est-ce pas ?
La scène m'est familière, une boisson fraiche prise à l'ombre c'est un moment bien agréable ;o)
J'aime bien l'architecture du cadre ainsi que l'humour de ta note.

the thing that i like in this image is the way how you handled the exposure, all the details are properly exposed which is quite a job considering that the most interesting "action" goes in the shadow while wuite a part of the image is welllit;
and now comes the worse - i dislike the "artistic" value of this image, it is basically about nothing (conceptually it is all right if an image is about nothing, but its not what i mean) - i mean there are no interesting things being selected as the main point of interest;
instead - there are some ennoying details (bottom left corner, or the fragment of the chair on the right side);

Amusing story Hugues, and, beautiful courtyard of this Café, nice relaxed atmosphere and beautiful colors and lights, the vertical format of the image is very good, compliments.

Lu avec attention et intérêt tes suggestions, il a fallu faire très vite et tu as vu que la mariée était bien entourée; pas eu le temps d'aller au détail...
ce qui me plait le plus ici c'est ce jeu de rouge, vert foncé avec la teinte du calcaire des murs.
