Photographer's Note
Gozo is much less built up than Malta, greener and more quiet and laid back (exluding perhaps when there is a religious festival).
This photo was taken from Victoria, the fortification surrounded by Rabat (Gozo), though even what you see here is outside of the typical boundaries of Rabat and there is another city in the distance. What is interesting is the way the buildings follow the roads and the landscape.
It is interesting to think of pre-historic Malta. It was once attached to Africa and has the oldest standing walls in the world (older than Egypt's pyramids - though the pyramids are more impressive looking I'm sure)

I like the way the sunlight is illuminating the buildings -- they have a slight "glow" to them which makes them like a set of luminous stepping stones. I would like to visit Malta some day.

Nice green, nice contrast with the houses. Maybe better with a little more of sky.

Very interesting this Dan, the landscape has a destinctive English feel and the simple 'box-architecture' houses have a Mediterranean feel and colourscheme. Well seen & vey well executed.
Have a nice weekend,
Bert
