What you see here is a valley in Luxembourg City. The red bridge is called the Grand Duchesse Charlotte Bridge build in the 60s. It's 355m long and the center is 85m above ground.

The country is located between Belgium, Germany and France and has a population of half a million. Driving from north to south is only 80kms. West to east about 55km. More than 85% of Luxembourgians is Roman Catholic. Luxembourgians are very well educated and almost everyone can speak English, French and German.

I found it to be a beautiful old city with lots of important European institutes and buildings. I especially liked driving there. You can find lots of tight little roads at the bottom of the valley but also beautiful roads thru the forrest. Magnificant views at night. It also felt like a rich country with lots of big expensive cars and houses everywere.

I was there to run the 1st ING Night Run Europe marathon on May 27th, starting at 18:00 hours. It was very well organized with a beautiful course and about 5000 runners. Finish is in a big indoor stadium called D'Coque on JFK Kennedy ave.
