Photographer's Note

Luxembourg City was once known as the Gibraltar of the North. Until today, remnants of massive fortifications have been preserved on a large rock overlooking the Alzette River valley.
The medieval bridge, Pont du Stierchen, is part of lower fortifications and connects the main part of the city and the former craftsmen district Grund located along the Alzette river.
