Clervaux Castle

Something quite different today, no Frisian cityscapes or mills, but a view of the town of Clervaux (Luxembourgish: Klierf) in northern Luxembourg. Seen here is Clervaux Castle. The oldest parts date back to the 12th century and the castle was extended several times over the centuries. In the winter of 1944-45, the castle was destroyed by fire in the Battle of the Bulge, but fully rebuilt after the war.
