Photographer's Note

This is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Vilnius. It's extremely difficult to get a good, wide angled shot including the belfry, which always appears to be leaning heavily to the right or left, unless it is placed dead centre, which generally ruins the composition.

Hello Chris,
I also remember this as a difficult photo object, but it offered some interesting opportunities if you walked around it to find new angles and didn't care to have it all in one photo. You did the best possible from this POV, catching the entire church in a good light and with a fair number of people making the view quite lively.

Elle donne plus l'impression d'un Temple qu'un édifice religieux.
Cela dit, l'élégance générale est manifeste.

La présence des gens anime la scène. La prise de vue permet de voir une double perspective de l'architecture de la cathédrale de Vilnius. La bonne luminosité met en valeur la beuaté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

Elle est magnifique cette cathédrale moderne malgré ses colonnes qui lui donnent un air antique. C'est simple et élégant comme architecture et la lumière fait tout bien ressortir.

Sometimes conditions to take photos are better when we haven't the sunshine, the church itself is beautiful and refers to classic buildings, I have seen this church 20 years ago

With wide angle photos like this and depending on the lens you have to put up with a bit of distortion, although I find I can reduce it a bit in Photoshop RAW.
Quite spectacular and although it is a bit different to usual churhc styles you can work out the layout from the photo. Better still in the large view.

A pristine capture! Those well spread out visitors is vital in making this architectural composition a successful one. The point of view illustrates the grandeur of this cathedral, blue and white is a perfect marriage of colour under that brill sunlight. Well taken shot, Congrats.

le linee di questa cattedrale sono classiche, le grandi colonne e tutta la facciata ricordano i templi dell'antica Grecia.
Impressionante le sue dimensioni, le persone funzionano bene per fare il paragone.

If it weren't for the cross on one of the statues, I would think this was a recreated Greek temple. It is a fabulous building.

it would be perfect with no shadows in front, but looks like it is almost impossible to avoid this. very beautiful the white shapes of the church, looks like made of sugar. nice angle.
