Photographer's Note

I had a short vacation in Nida. Before leaving I wanted to see from near a reconstrucion of ancient ship called - Kurėnas. It was used by curonians (one of the tribes who lived in Lithuania) until XX century. But sadly I was too late.

Nida is a resort town in Lithuania, located on the Curonian Spit. Has a distinct family holiday focus. Since 2000, the Curonian Spit has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List under cultural criteria "V" (an outstanding example of a traditional human settlement, land-use, or sea-use which is representative of a culture [...], or human interaction with the environment especially when it has become vulnerable under the impact of irreversible change). It was chosen by "Lonely Planet" in 2010, second best beach in the world.
