Photographer's Note
Picture was taken in the Riga's main bazaar. There was no language that this lady and me, we could talk. But when she saw my camera she made up her hair and smiled. Than she offered me some apples for free. It was silent but such a friendly meeting.

Great place, and always such promising subjects, but I've never really mamanged to catch the escence of teh place, a good job you've done here, like the brick building in the background.

Natalia,
Maybe not the most beautiful photo, but it is very good in my eyes. This is part of Latvia, and I'm afraid it will slowly disappear. She must have had a good day if she gives apples for free!
She probably makes the products herself, many people do it here and then sell them on the market. I come from Holland, and it's not usual there anymore. This is why I like Latvia!

The photo is good from the emotional side, but technical stuff can be improved in the future.
Few things - the focus should be on the eye if it is a portrait.
One side of the face in in shadow, but in this case it's not a big problem cause the most important is the surrounding not the person.
It's not good if some lines are "crossing" the head.
I like the story. Yes, we do have lot of nice people in Latvia!
