Riga Central Market (Latvian: Rīgas Centrāltirgus) is Europe's largest market and bazaar in Riga, Latvia. It is one of the most notable structures from 20th century in Latvia and has been included in UNESCO World Heritage Site list together with Old Riga in 1998.
It was planned from 1922 and built from 1924 to 1930. The main structures of the market are five pavilions constructed by reusing old German Zeppelin hangars and incorporating Neoclassicism and Art Deco styles. The market is 72,300 square metres (778,000 sq ft) wide with more than 3,000 trade stands.

Hello Piotr,
The fine light has created beautiful reflections in the water and on the roofs of the nicely designed buildings. The old German hangars were given new lives in these amazing pavilions with added architectural details. I don't know if the nearer buildings are part of the market, but their roofs have created a very interesting pattern. It's a very well taken photo and also perfectly cropped.

cześc Piotrze, Nie pamiętam tego marketu. Nie wszystko widziałam w Rydze, powinnam pojechać jeszcze raz :). Zresztą w zimie wszystko wygląda inaczej. Fajne zdjęcie z góry, ciekawe kolory, rzeka pięknie połyskuje.

Piotr, these old structures are a symbol of Riga and belong to the city history. They contain thousands of stands. Nice view of the river in the background. Fine colors, good sharpness, excellent light, regards.

The mega-market identical building look as remnanat of the former regime in the country, big and imposing upon large area.
A bit difficult to show a whole complex on one shot - but fairly well managed to show it.
