Old Town Riga is a popular entertainment district in the historical and geographical center of the Latvian capital, featuring cobble-stone streets and an abundance of architectural gems.

Old Town Riga, with its narrow cobble-stone streets, not only features goregeous Medieval-era buildings, but unique sacral structures as well.

The buildings in Old Town are varied and constructed during different periods of history. It features over 500 buildings built in various architectural styles – Romanticism, Gothic, Mannerism, Baroque, Eclectic, Modernism, etc.

Hello Piotr, a very good shot where the arch makes a good frame of the street with all its interesting details.
The light is really well managed, and the sharpness is excellent.

cześc Piotrze, Ładna sceneka ze starego miasta w Rydze. Ładna kompozycja z obramowaniem z bramy. Prsyjemne kolory. I mamy tez lady in red (Chris de Burgh b edzie w listopadzie w Warszawie, ale nie wiem, czy gdzieś nie wyjadę i 169 zł najtańsze bilety).

A lovely view down this quiet street in Riga. I really like the gentle sunlight in combination with the pastel colours. You made excellent use of the gate to frame the view. The lady in red was a good inclusion in the centre as well.

Hello Piotr,
Another very well composed photo with excellent light. The deep vault frames the view of the street perfectly. I like the pastel colours of the buildings to the left, and in the street the small restaurant looks inviting for dinner in an hour or two. A waitress seems to be busy with the preparations and a lady in red kindly appeared in the right place at the right moment.

Hello Piotr,

The cobbled street, showing the flower containers, the outdoor eating areas and the closed parasols, makes an interesting scene but how much more interesting it becomes when viewed through the archway!
The lady in red also attracts our attention!
She adds the narrative, for we are curious about what has attracted her attention.

Piotr, good use of the stone arch as a frame. The cobbled street is occupied by restaurant terraces and cafes. Nice glimpse to the old town, good depth.

A good view to the old town through this gate. I like the stripe of sunshine on the right. Light pastel tones of buildings look very nice. The lady in red accentuates unhurried feeling of the place.
