Photographer's Note

The serene setting and autumn leaf colours drew me to capture this image. Bastejkalna park is named after the Bastion Hill that is situated inside it. It borders the north side of the old town are and it is a beautiful park to visit and walk around. There are little bridges, flower-beds, and benches to sit on. There is also a canal going across it, where you can have a boat ride. Some of the things to see in the park include a bridge with hundreds of locks placed there by lovers to pledge their attachment to each other and a memorial to the victims killed by Soviet Troops in 1991.
