Hermitage of Monte Revalioso - Campello sul Clitunno (PG)
The hermitage probably dates back to the year one thousand, although the first sure news is in the fourteenth century. Inside, a cave shows signs of hermit adaptation and tradition has it that it was inhabited by hermits from Syria; according to tradition, the hermitage was also visited by San Francesco d’Assisi and San Bernardino da Siena. There is the church of Sant’Antonio abate, with remains of fourteenth-century frescoes and a medieval tower, built on the basis of an older Roman fort.

Hello Silvio,
The wall dominates this view more than the hermitage building at the top of the hill. The panoramic shape of the photo was well chosen to accentuate the long horizontal line between the trees on the hillside.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Silvio,
The stone wall is framing well the hermitage. The point of view is showing dome details of the hermitage of Monte Revalioso. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Ciao Silvio
I like the wide angled, panoramic crop. Good sharpness and the wall and hilltop tower provide good focal points. Tfs!

Ciao Caro Silvio,
We cannot see close details of the hermitage but you have certainly shown us its latitudinal extent, surrounded by trees in all directions and sitting on the apex of the hill.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Silvio,
A nice panorama view of this hill top with the building rising up from between the trees. The long wall makes a nice silver line through the centre.

Hi Silvio.
A great panorama of the hill with that line of the wall running across the photo and what looks like an olive grove on the left.
cheers

Ciao Silvio,
We see that this is the hermitage, away from anything. in fact, we do not see much here. What is this wall? This is the main subject here.
Have a nice new week

Hello Silvio,
Very remarkable and long wall that closes off the top part of the mountain slope.
I would expect to find buildings right behind the wall but it is a densely wooded area.
Is it possible to walk on this wall?
Best regards, Paul
