Photographer's Note
Arco di Druso e Germanico
It was erected in 23 A.D. about in honor of Germanicus and Drusus Minor, the sons of Tiberius, as reported in the inscription placed on the front overlooking the "Foro", now Market Square, which served as a monumental entrance. Have a single arch of stone blocks square with little decoration. The left wall is merged with the medieval houses of the street, while the right side, the resurfacing around fifty to the church during the restoration of our place, are the ruins of a temple of the first century AD

Ciao Silvio,
lovely arch in a charming setting, you made the right decision to include more of the context to enhance the interest here.
Nice effect with the asymmetrical composition,

Ciao Silvio, ottima idea la decentratura della prospettiva per dare uno sguardo ai muri sulla destra e non usare l'arco nella classica funzione di cornice, ancora una bella sorpresa dalla tua citta', sempre in qualita' top. Buona Domenica,Luciano

Hello Silvio,
I like the long view of the street and the inclusion of the buildings on both sides. We see how the town has grown around the beautiful arch which will soon celebrate its 2000nd birthday.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Silvio, it is amazing that this arch is nearly 2000 years old!
It obviously hasn't been affected by earthquakes in its' life.
You share a good view along the street with the arch taking pride of place.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Silvio, that very old arch in stone was never destroyed. It is surrounded by recent apartment blocks, the city was built around it. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hi Silvio,
The length of the street is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the arch and of the buildings. The light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Silvio,
A very charming view down the narrow street. The composition is well divided between the street itself with the ancient arch and the walls and their textures on the right. Pleasant play of the soft lighting also.

Bonjour, cher ami Silvio,
Toujours cet art de nous faire pénétrer à l'intérieur de la ville et de ses rues pittoresques où l'histoire parle à travers ses pierres !
Amitiés.

Ciao Caro Silvio,
This photograph follows your favourite style of views through arches and works very well! The converging lines of the walls and fencing guide us effectively to the archway where, the view beyond, creates an excellent sense of depth.
The details are sharp.
I was immediately aware of the cemented-up windows on the right and was pleased that you explained the origins of this ancient building.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi Silvio.
It magnifies the perspective of this street, to which the arch of the Roman period gives the prestige of antiquity.
Very nice color that enhances the image.
Superb brightness and sharpness.
You have a good day.
Very best regards, my friend.
Luis.

Hi Silvio
A quaint alleyway in the neighourhood without a single soul which is becoming all too common now. Sad sign of the times, at least you will not get run over looking on the bright side. Excellent topical capture of the current crisis! Congrats
Best regards
