Church of S. Eufemia - Spoleto
Ancient historical sources attest that towards the 10th century, near the Ducal Palace, there was already a Church of Sant’Eufemia, when Spoleto was still the capital of a powerful duchy.
Its current artistic-architectural appearance dates back to the first half of the 12th century, when a school of master stonemasons was already flourishing in Spoleto, who felt the influence of their Lombard colleagues, in particular of the Comacine masters.

Hello Silvio,
You took this photo from a perfect position which gives us an excellent view of the beautiful interior. The style of the architecture is so "clean" and elegant that I could almost believe it's a modern building. It's a beautiful church and the photo has a fine symmetry and very good light. Both WS are also very good and well composed.
Best regards,
Gert

Ciao Silvio, pov molto originale per un interno chiesa,da qui si apprezza meglio lo stile architettonico, purtroppo non c'e' molto colore e le pareti sono davvero spoglie,un post ricco come al solito con gli utili WS. Buona giornata,Luciano

Hello Silvio,
This reminds me a little of the Bari Cathedral in southern Italy which also has a double layer and 2 levels of columns. Good sharpness and interior lighting. Tfs!

Hello Silvio,
An excellent high viewpoint, which offers such an amazing view down the church. I like the two rows of arches on top of one another and the play of lights and shadows is wonderful as well.

Ciao Caro Silvio,
We see the interior of the church from an unusual, elevated viewpoint, which allows you to give a strong, linear guide to the illuminated altar. It's almost like holding on to the main part, creating a sense of anticipation.
It's a fine composition, well exposed.
Your w/s are equally well photographed and could easily have been main posts.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Silvio, an excellent high point of view that really shows us the impressive architecture.
You managed the interior light with your usual expertise.
The two workshop pictures complement this presentation.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Silvio.
Wonderful interior of this church, with this double arcade which gives a truly surprising height to its interior, an ideal Romanesque.
Very well done. I like.
Enjoy the weekend.
My best wishes for you, my friend.
Luis
