From the Palatine Hill

This is a view from one of the seven hills of Rome, the Palatine Hill, on which one of the most ancient parts of Rome was built. The photo shows the Forum Romanum, located at the foot of the hill, and another hill, the Capitoline with the tower of the Palazzo Senatorio and the Victor Emmanuel II National Monument (Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II), also known as the Altar of the Fatherland (Altare della Patria).
