Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My photograph, today, keeps me in Italy at the Boboli Gardens in Florence.

Here, you can see the huge Tindaro Screpolato, an enormous bronze statue by sculptor Igor Mitora. The Germany-born Polish artist's towering structure features the cracked and disembodied face of a man set against the lush, green landscape of the garden.

The spectacular sculpture is an eye-catching piece that seemed to draw people towards it and there were many who wanted to photograph it!

The statue depicts strength and fragility and is a mighty presence in the garden.

I left the face of a small person in the frame to help you to get a sense of scale.

I will add another view of the sculpture, from a different angle here so that you can appreciate just how unusual this sculpture is!

Have a great weekend, Bev 😀
