La Via dell'Amore passa per Manarola e innamorarsi del luogo è facile.
I resti dell'antico castello fanno parte delle facciate che si innalzano sulle rocce a picco sul mare e la loro vista, sia da terra, sia dal mare, è uno spettacolo per gli occhi.

« La "Via dell'amore" è più che un sentiero: è il simbolo delle Cinque Terre e della vita che vi trascorre. Hi Carlo,
spectacular how the houses are pinched to the steep rocks so close to the water.
I like the colors and the definition and the many details to enjoy like the laundry and the graffiti.

A dramatic, well framed photo of this spectacular village on the cliff tops. I would love to visit a place like this. The colours and the sunshine in this picture are well captured.

Which of these towns in Cinque Terre is the most beautiful? I see that you visited them all. Have you walk the whole this Via dell'amore? It is amazing view but I wouldn't like to live in these houses on the top over the rocks. From the highest terrace must be gorgeous view. Wonderful picture.

Fantastic golden light shed on the rocks of stunning Manarola.
A place of charm and yet a town that impresses every tourists, especially with camera on hand.
The door near the blue parasoles, leading to the best gelato place there - and a beautiful lady bar-tender that smiles all the time... Believe me, no man stay indiferent to her green eyes.
Fabulous pic. of a most intriguing place, great view from sea to the hill's top.

Hi Carlo,
It is amazing how these homes seem almost to be carved from the rock itself, and your upwards view here gives a great sense of scale, and a great sense of how cool it must be to live in a place like this. Although the site looks delicate, plac so clo to the precipice, it also looks incdible strong with its foundation being an immovable cliff. A beauty of a shot with great subject, light and colors.

A very interesting note and a fine quotation from Paola Gaione!

This is a specatcular photograph of a beautiful place, very well composed to demonstrate how this place is built upon a huge projection of rock, the houses and buildings climbing up the steep slope. The colourful houses are perfectly depicted and the pathway leading up to the buildings and the streets are filled with people and activity.

Beautiful light and colours, perfect exposure and exquisite details and sharpness.

Not a viewpoint of Manarola we see too often, it's usually from a wider perspective showing the greater scope of the village. This perspective shows us in greater detail how it's built up from the rock, and is always refreshing to have something a bit different in display. Good timing also, to catch the warm sunlight bathed over the scenery, making it even more attractive and colorful. Each town has its own character, and you've done well here to put Manarola in its own unique position. Enjoyt he rest of the day. Take care.

Hello dear Carlo - I've only been way for a couple of days and I have missed so many uploads. You have posted some lovely pics from Cinque Terre each of which reminds me of our wonderful visit. This is especially good as it illustrates quite perfectly the steep terrain upon which the village is built. I like the contrast between the natural rocks (how well we can see the effects of the geological pressure) and the attractive houses with their pastel colours.

mi piace moltissimo come ci hai portato cosi vicino alla roccia che porta adosso le caratteristiche case colorate e come ci hai offerto una prospettiva verso l' alto cosi dinamica ed affascinante. Le tessiture della roccia accentuano il dinamismo, la luce e' deliziosa ed il suo contrasto con le ombre aggiunge un po' di dramma all' atmosfera. Ottimi i dettagli e molto effettivo lo sfondo blu'.
