Photographer's Note

When its your first time traveling to Rome, a day spent in the Vatican is a must.

And for us photographers, one of the main subjects to capture is the famous Spiral Staircase.

When we arrived at the Vatican, we actually headed directly for the staircase. I'm sure it looked funny because as you enter 99% of the people go one direction, while we the 1%, headed for the exit as soon as we entered lol

The amazing thing with such Iconic subjects is that the name itself can be legendary. Meaning, when I saw the staircase in person I couldn't believe how SMALL it actually was! I guess in my head I was picturing something grande, over-the-top, and larger than life.

But still, it was such a thrill to be here and see it in person. We had so much fun photographing it.

Here is the view from the Top looking down. I purposely left the photo somewhat dark, just to give it a different feel and atmosphere.

My next post will be a view of the Staircase from the bottom looking UP! A much more unique and abstract presentation.

thanks for looking
