Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

On posting my last shot (the Duomo Florence), I found from Ike (ikeharel) that he had been in the same city on the following day, photographing the same locations! How coincidental is that!! I wish we had had an opportunity to meet!

However what I would like to share with you all is a view of the place where we stayed. This is called Mulino di Firenze, an old hotel on the Arno river. Mulino di Firenze was an ancient watermill restored into a hotel. Situated at 10 min. by car from the city centre, it is built directly on the river bank.

It is full of ancient charm. All the old workings of the mill have been placed on view by a glass floor in the hotel. The swimming pool is the old waterway through the yard, which is now a tasteful relaxing area.

From the hotel, it was possible to watch ducks, herons and egrets fishing on the top of the weir.

Thank you for your interest, Bev :-)
