Photographer's Note

The Piave river is a symbol for the venetian hinterland, because of historical facts in the first world war and of the strong influence upon the territory & its agriculture. Apparently is a very quiet river, but periodically, especially in autumn, can to cause disastrouses floods.
Here you see the river nearby San Doną di Piave, where the embankments are relativaly narrow and the water is deep. Nice relaxing pace for to stroll or fish, of course!
